White Paper - Raster Adaptive Optics: Simplifying adaptive imaging
In biological imaging, variations in refractive index (ΔRI) within tissue can distort laser scanning and negatively impact high-resolution imaging. This white paper highlights the advancements in Raster Adaptive Optics (RAO) performance for imaging in vivo and in vitro samples. RAO measures ΔRI across tissue regions and optically corrects it using Zernike modes. The application of RAO automation has enhanced fluorescence signals by 1.2- to 2-fold in skin, lymph nodes, and fixed bone samples.
RAO is available for trials and testing at the INCITe Centre at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
